Rear Admiral Tanvir Ahmed is a retired Naval Officer whose passion is to help the underprivileged segment of our society. He served in Navy for 36 years and after retirement pursued his passion. Joined Rotary Club of Karachi- Bay in 2003 as Charter member. Has been President of the club and served as District Secretary twice.
During his service he commanded a number of ships and shore establishments. Had a distinguished carrier. He commanded the Pakistan Naval Academy. He and his son Commodore Adnan Ahmed who has retired from the Navy and is serving as Advisor to the Bahraini Navy. The father and son hold a record in Pakistan , UK and USA for commanding the Academy.
